Short Bio
I began my career as a civic designer and project manager, where I honed my ability to listen to and prioritize user needs to create spaces that truly reflect them. Now, as a UX designer, I bring this passion for equity into the digital world. I've worked on projects for libraries, small businesses, and governmental agencies and more, finding fulfillment in the "define" and "develop" phases. I thrive in environments where I can collaborating with cross-functional teams, co-creating solutions that really make a difference.
Photos from a workshop I facilitated with teens to get their input on what they'd like to see in their new library
Present
I jumped into UX Design the best way I know how—learning by doing and taking ownership of processes. I led the redesign of the Brooklyn Public Library's digital catalog, making it easier for everyone to find the books they crave. Now, I'm tackling the library's card signup process, streamlining it for a smoother experience.
My work isn't limited to big institutions – I also helped a small business dedicated to Black and Brown homeschooling families by improving team collaboration and staff workflows. Collaboration is the vital thread throughout all of my career: working with designers, developers, and researchers has honed my problem-solving skills and ability to optimize services for real impact.
I like to wear multiple hats. What really excites me about UX design is the full experience, particularly the "define" and "develop" phases. Here, I get to dig deep, uncover the heart of user challenges, and then brainstorm solutions together with a team of diverse thinkers.

Past
My journey started in NYC, shaping neighborhoods alongside residents through civic design and project management. It was an incredible 5+ years, teaching me how to listen. I used all sorts of creative ways to uncover community needs, from surveys to workshops. I was even able to bring together residents and city officials for important discussions. Though I saw the impact of my recommendations, a part of me wanted to be part of the solution itself.
My fascination with the digital world (inspired by hours on hours designing social media layouts growing up) collided with the reality of unequal access to resources in my home city, Chicago. This experience led me to UX design, where I’m able to combine my passion for creating equitable services with the digital landscape.
Some achievements from my past life:
Group photo from the final community engagement workshop for redesigning Prospect Park's Rose Garden to reflect the needs of communities traditionally left-out of planning processes
Outside of work
Beyond design, I'm a natural explorer, always seeking new neighborhoods, cities, or countries for inspiration. I’m based primarily in Philly, with Brooklyn and Chicago as my second homes.
For the 'gram photoshoot on the beach in Dakar, Senegal. My first trip, with many more to come, to West African region
